GRAFTON, Mass. – On one night each year, the women of Grafton come out to shop en masse, indulging in food samples, massages and goods from small vendors at Women's Night Out.
The 10th annual "Women's Night Out: Stress-Free Shopping" is happening this year on Friday, Oct. 19, at the Millbury Street Elementary School. The shopping starts at 7 p.m. and runs until 10 p.m.
This year's event filled up fast, with several repeat vendors, event organizer Kristie Proctor said. More than 30 direct sales vendors and crafts people will offer a range of creative handcrafts, gifts and services.
Merchants include Alison Murphy and Dawn Farmer of Two Girly-Girls, Robyn Towner of Scentsy Wickless Candles, Christy Rejmer of Pink Papya all natural body products, Denise Conary of Silpada Designs, and Melissa Beyer with Usborne Books at Home. Home-based businesses include Sandhya Shenoy of Pearlzy (jewelry), Inklings (handmade cards) with Lori Bonner, and Tribe’s Creations (bath salts and herbal heating wraps) with Nikki Rafferty. Jay Cohen and Maureen Agley of Angel Hair Alpacas, and Jax’s Jems by Jaqueline Brennan will also offer handmade gifts.
Complimentary chair massages will be offered by Spirit of Wellness.
In addition to shopping, raffle prizes donated by the vendors will be on display, and raffled off at the conclusion of the evening. Raffle tickets will be available during the event, and all proceeds will go to the Grafton Food Bank.
