What To Do This Weekend In Grafton

GRAFTON, Mass.- Grafton High School sports will have a “bye” this weekend, bu their 5k run at the high school is a top event. Also, The Willard House and Clock Museum will host a wine tasting. Reserve now, it always sells out. For more weekend activities, see our Events page.

Here is a roundup of the weekend:

Saturday, Oct. 20

5K Run: The Grafton High School Class of 2013 is sponsoring the second annual Harvest Homecoming Run/Walk on Oct. 20. The 5K event begins noon at Grafton High School. Registration will begin at 11 a.m., with a $20 entry fee. Prizes will be awarded to the top male and female runners.

T-Ball Clinic: A free fall baseball clinic will be offered by Grafton Little League, 1 p.m., at the Minor Field Baseball Complex, 16 North St. The clinic is open to boys and girls ages 3-5. The session will last one hour and players will be taught how to properly field, throw and hit.

Open House and Recycling Day: The Masons of Massachusetts will host an Open House from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Opportunities available for the whole family. Meet at the Franklin Lodge, 55 N. Main Street, North Grafton. There will also be a recycling truck, so be sure to clean out the basement.

Sunday, Oct. 21

Fall Wine Tasting at the Willard House: The Willard House and Clock Museum will host a fall wine tasting from 4-6 p.m. Reservations are required. The event is $29 per person, discount for museum members and Grafton Historical Society members.

Grafton Historical Society Museum: The Grafton Historical Society Museum is open Sundays, 2-4 p.m. in the lower level of One Grafton Common. Admission is free.

Now that frost has killed the mosquitoes people again begin to enjoy outdoor activities.
Personally, I can't believe the town chose not to control summertime EEE mosquitoes.
For $12 extra dollars per year, "that would not add to your tax rate", we all could have had a more enjoyable and safe 2013 summer.
