What's Happening In Grafton This Weekend

GRAFTON, Mass. – It's a busy fall weekend in Grafton, highlighted by a chili contest, the 33rd annual Harvest Fair and Apple Pie Social and the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine's annual open house. For more to do, see our Events page.

Friday, Sept. 21

Soccer game: 3:30 p.m. The Grafton High School boys soccer team travels to David Prouty Regional High School, 302 Main St., Spencer.

First dance: 7 p.m. Operation Friendship of Grafton will hold its first dance of the season for students in grades 6, 7, and 8. The price of admission is $7 per child. Municipal Center gym.

Saturday, Sept. 22

Biosafety meeting: 11 a.m. to noon. The Institutional Biosafety Committee will hold its annual meeting at the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University. Agnes Varis Campus Center, 5 Jumbo's Path.

Animal open house: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University will hold its annual open house. Leave your dogs and other pets at home while exploring the animal hospitals and barns.

Fall festival: Noon to 5 p.m. A Chili Challenge and Fall Festival sponsored by the North Grafton Business Association will be held. Gourmet Creations, North Grafton Shopping Center.

Harvest Fair: Noon to 4 p.m. The 33rd Annual Harvest Fair and Apple Pie Social returns. Sponsored by the Congregational Church of Grafton, the fair includes children's games, sale tables, a silent auction, live music, a dunk tank and plenty of apple pie and other treats. Grafton Common.

Football game: 1 p.m. Grafton High School's football team travels to Shepherd Hill Regional High School, 68 Dudley Oxford Road, Dudley.

Sunday, Sept. 23

Harvest Festival: Noon to 3 p.m. Celebrate the fall season at the annual harvest festival. Music, food, demonstrations, tours of the Museum, children's activities and other harvest-related surprises. Willard House and Clock Museum, 1 Willard St.

Open house: 2 to 4 p.m. The Grafton Historical Society Museum is open to the public. Admission is free. One Grafton Common.

Thanks for the Thursday Grafton Farmer's Market reminder! We are now in late season "dusk" mode and the hours are now 2:00pm - 6:00pm until the end of market in October...:-)
