NORTHBRIDGE, Mass. - The Blackstone Valley Education Foundation is offering a Youth Employability Workshop for high school students during April vacation.
Students will practice their skills and learn techniques for landing jobs this summer and after high school graduation in a workshop from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. April 16 to 18 at the Milford Federal Credit Union on Providence Road, Whitinsville.
The program will cover such topics as identifying natural strengths and talents, communicating those through form applications and writing resumes and cover letters. Students will practice interview techniques both face-to-face and over the phone, the follow-up process and the best tools for a job hunting effectively without losing motivation.
Finally, topics on workplace etiquette, time management, setting long-term goals and financial literacy will wrap up the last class.
