GRAFTON, Mass. –  The Open Hearts and Minds Foundation will be the beneficiary of a Sept. 15 concert featuring Greg Trussell and The Referrals.

The foundation, founded by Grafton residents Sarah and Phil Boyer, is aiding in the mission to build and maintain a school in the small village of Kokoth Kateng, a poor community in western Kenya near Lake Victoria. A small school became a reality in 2009 but the Boyers are working to build a new classroom block to accommodate 32 more children.

The concert will be held at Hartford Farm, 15 Hartford Ave., Upton beginning at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 15. Admission is $10 per person or $20 per family.

A raffle and auction will also be available, with the prizes including gift certificates from Red Rock Grill of Upton, Miz’ Mo Salon of South Grafton and The Body Fixx of Upton as well as items from Potter Hill Farm, Stirred Crazy and Dunkin Donuts of Upton.
