GRAFTON, Mass. - Grafton Cub Scout Pack 106 will be visiting neighborhoods in Grafton on Saturday, Sept. 29 as part of the annual popcorn fundraiser.
Scouts will be selling several items directly, providing a same day purchase of delicious popcorn items. Available for purchase will be Caramel Corn, Caramel Corn with Almonds/Pecans/Cashews, Unbelievable Butter microwave popcorn & Butter Light microwave popocorn.
Other products can be ordered for delivery in November. These include the popular Chocolately Triple Delight, Microwave Kettle Corn 18-pack, White Chocolate Pretzels, Cheese Corn, more chocolate products, microwaveable popcorn packages and the ever-popular Caramel Corn products (made with natural sweeteners). The products are made with canola oil, have 0g trans fat and come in resealable packages.
This single fundraiser supports all of the Pack’s programming for the coming year, including the annual Pinewood Derby; field trips; t-shirts, patches, pins and books; and so much more. Individual Scouts can also earn money towards summer camping at Treasure Valley in Rutland, and many other super prizes. An incredible 70 percent of every popcorn sale comes back to Scouting!
Consumers will also have the opportunity to donate popcorn to U.S. military personnel, thereby supporting two great institutions at the same time. Since 2007, more the $32 million worth of popcorn has been donated and shipped to U.S. troops worldwide.
Thanks to friends, family and community members, Pack 106 sold over $47,000 in popcorn products in 2011, setting a record for the entire Mohegan Council for any Pack or Troop. For their record-breaking efforts, last January, the boys visited Coco Key Water Resort in Fitchburg and were treated to a special day at Treasure Valley Boy Scout Camp. In addition to individual Scout sales, the Pack will be staffing on-the-spot sales at Koopmans Lumber on Oct. 6 and Stop N' Show on Oct. 27.
Pack 106 is grateful to the community for its past and current support of scouting! For more information, check out the Pack's website at http://www.graftonpack106.org/, or contact Cubmaster Chris Paquin directly at cpaquin42@gmail.com, or 508-839-0195.
