GRAFTON, Mass. — A Grafton-based international exchange coordinator is seeking host families for Chinese students who will be visiting in January.

Sponsored by MA Homestays, the organization matches families to the students, who will visit the area from Jan. 30 to Feb. 3.

"The kids come from a specific school in Beijing," coordinator Ellen Onorato said. "They are chosen not just for their academic accomplishments, but also for their well-rounded behavior."

Some of the students already have host families, but Onorato said 14 middle and high school students plus two adult chaperons are still seeking hosts.

All the visitors speak English at various levels. While in the United States, they will sightsee in Boston and Cambridge and spend time in class in town.

Host families provide a roof over their heads and meals, Onorato said. In exchange, they gain insight into another culture and make a global friend.

More information can be found on the MA Homestays website or by calling Ellen Onorato at 508-826-1912.
