Grafton Lions Contributed $23,000 To Local Charities

GRAFTON, Mass. - The Grafton Lions Club was acknowledged Saturday at the Massachusetts Lions District 33-A Mid-Winter Conference for donating $23,000 to local charities.

Officers of the club received acknowledgement for their contributions for the 2012-2013 fiscal year at the event in Boxboro.

During the course of the year, the Lions Club donated to, among others:

  • Dinners and gifts to local families at Christmas
  • Dinners for local families at Thanksgiving
  • Grafton Food Bank
  • Youth sports sponsorships
  • Dinners at the Grafton Senior Center
  • Scholarships for graduating high school students
  • High School Bon Voyage party
  • Donations to local schools

The Grafton Lions Club is celebrating its 58th year of contributing to the quality of life in Grafton.
