GRAFTON, Mass. -- Although today is Veterans Day, on Thursday two men from Grafton who fought in separate foreign wars will meet to tell their tales.
Titled “Honoring Our Veterans", Robert Prout, a Korean War veteran, and Stanley Stopyra, who served in Vietnam, will speak about their tours of duty and answer questions at the South Grafton Community House, 25 Main Street, South Grafton, on Nov. 15 at 7 p.m.
The event is hosted by the Grafton Historical Society.
“With so much focus on the First and Second World Wars, our veterans from other conflicts can sometimes be underrepresented,” said Linda Casey, Grafton Historical Society President in a press release.
“That’s why we are especially happy to present this program on the veterans of Korea and Vietnam."
The event is part of the historical society’s annual November program in celebration of Veterans’ Day.
The event is free and open to the public. For more information, call Linda Casey at 508-839-0000.
