GRAFTON, Mass.- Grafton Center Playschool was awarded $500 from the Harvard Pilgrim Foundation’s Community Spirit 9/11 Mini-Grant program.

The preschool, located at 3 Grafton Common, is a private, non-profit, non-sectarian preschool for three- to five-year-old children.

“The Mini-Grant program is a wonderful way that we can support our colleagues to build healthier communities where they live and work,” said Karen Voci, Executive Director of the Harvard Pilgrim Foundation in a press release.

The Harvard Pilgrim Community Spirit 9/11 Mini-Grant Program was created to honor the men and women lost on September 11, 2001 by giving Harvard Pilgrim employees an annual opportunity to support organizations in their local communities.

Since the Foundation's program began in 2002, Harvard Pilgrim employees have directed contributions to hundreds of organizations throughout Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Maine with grants totaling $2,942,150, the press release said.
