New Grafton Library Director Officially On Board

GRAFTON, Mass. -- Elizabeth Gallaway, the recently appointed Grafton Library director started her new job Monday, the office of the town administrator announced in a press release.

Gallaway had been a librarian in Haverhill for 16 years before taking the Grafton job after a five-month search when Hildig Hedberg retired in July.

She also had been a trainer and consultant for youth services in the Metro West Regional Library System in Waltham.

She earned a master of science in library and information science degree from Simmons College. 

The board of selectmen approved her appointment, at the recommendation of Timothy McInerney, the town administrator, during its Dec. 18 meeting.
