Northbridge's WCC Plans Thanksgiving Raffle

NORTHBRIDGE, Mass. - Win a cash prize by entering a raffle being held by the Whitin Community Center for its Youth Outreach program.

A maximum of 1,000 tickets at $20 each will be sold between now and Thanksgiving Day. The grand prize is $5,000, first prize is $1,000, and second prize is $500.

Tickets may be purchased at the Whitin Community Center, 60 Main St., Whitinsville or the Rockdale Youth Center 2219 Providence Road, Rockdale. The drawing will be held on the morning of Thanksgiving Day following the annual Turkey Trot at the Whitin Community Center.

“We are excited about this raffle,” said Denis Latour, owner of Town and Country Builders and a member of the Whitin Community Center’s board of trustees. “The prizes are great and the proceeds will allow the Center to continue to offer four free programs to the youth in our community.”

Monique Boucher, director of Outreach concurs. “It is through the generous support of many that we can provide an after-school program, a Saturday recreation program, a mentorship program, and a summer youth theatre program to local families free of charge.”

The Whitin Community Center is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization offering social, recreational, educational, and outreach programs that bring community members of all ages and backgrounds together. The Whitin Community Center is the Blackstone Valley’s most complete family and recreation center with two swimming pools, a gym, a fitness center, aerobics studio, Spin/TRX studio, childcare programs, summer camp, and a seven-acre park.
