What To Do This Weekend in Grafton

GRAFTON, Mass.- It’s Octoberfest at South Grafton Elementary so round up the "wee ones" for raffles, games, balloons, spooky face painting, those bouncy house things, and plenty of fun food. For more to do, see our Events page. Here is a roundup of the weekend:

Saturday Oct. 13

The Grafton Recycling Committee will hold an electronics collection from 9 a.m. to noon at the Grafton Municipal Center. Click here to see what is accepted.

Octoberfest is at the South Grafton Elementary School from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. This is the school’s biggest fundraising event of the year and always a big hit. You can buy tickets for the rides at the door.

Grafton High School Girl’s varsity field hockey team will play Quaboag Reg High School in Warren at 1:45 p.m.  The Girl’s varsity soccer team will play Northbridge High School in Northbridge at 5:00 p.m.

Sunday Oct. 14

The Craig LeClaire/Rich Vacca Scholarship Trail Race begins 10 a.m. at the Community Barn,37 Wheeler Rd. This is a 5k run , 2 mile walk, through wooded preserves. Finish at the Community Barn for post-race refreshments. There will also be a silent auction and live music.  Proceeds benefit the Grafton High School Craig LeClaire/ Rich Vacca Scholarship for college-bound athletes, the Grafton Land Trust and the Grafton Community Harvest Project.  Race day registration is $25.
