Obituary: Dean E. Westhoff, 47

NORTHBRIDGE, Mass. - Dean E. Westhoff, 47, of Whitinsville, died unexpectedly at his home on Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012. He was the husband of Tammy (Woloski) Westhoff.

In addition to his wife of 19 years, he leaves four children, Amber, Dean Jr., Shelby, and Derek Westhoff, all of Whitinsville; his father, Bernard Westhoff of Parsons, KS; four brothers, BJ and Mike Westhoff of OK, and Ren and Frank Westhoff of KS; two sisters, Vallie Addis and Theresa Cameron of KS; and several nieces and nephews. He was also the son of the late Lois (Miller) Westhoff and the son-in-law of Tom and Marie Woloski of Upton and Kathy Goyette of Bourne.

Dean was a loving, caring, kind husband, father, and friend. He always had a warm welcoming smile that lit up his face. He enjoyed being with his family above all things and will be sadly missed by all who love him.

Born in Parsons, KS, he served honorably with the U.S. Army from 1986 to 1989, earning the rank of sergeant and an Army Achievement Medal and Parachutist Badge, among other decorations. He had lived in Grafton before coming to Whitinsville 13 years ago.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Nov. 24, from the Williams-Pedersen Funeral Home, 45 Main St., Upton, with a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Gabriel the Archangel Church, 151 Mendon St., Upton. Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery, North Main St., Upton. Calling hours at the funeral home are Friday from 5 to 8 p.m.
