GRAFTON, Mass. - Frank Ragaini, 93, of Green Acres in South Grafton died peacefully
Nov. 21 at Ichabod Washburn Hospice Residence in Worcester.
He leaves his loving wife of 74 years Blanche L. (Benoit) Ragaini,; two sons, Bradley Ragaini and his wife Margaret of Sutton, Michael Ragaini and his wife Linda of Worcester; five grandchildren, Maria Lopez and her husband Elvis, Christopher Ragaini and his wife Angela, Marc Ragaini and his wife Andrea, Gina Campos and her husband Chris, Joseph Ragaini and his wife Melissa; great grandchildren, Enrique Lopez and his sister Raquel, Mia and her brother Rocco Ragaini; two sisters, Queenta Benoit of Upton, Josephine Parson of Grafton, West Virginia; two brothers, Bruno Ragaini of Upton, Victor Ragaini of Ft. Myers FL. Mr. Ragaini was predeceased by his parents John F. and Santa (Buzzetti) Ragaini and three sisters, Mary Keith, Mafilda Grooms, Sylvia Bouthiette.
Frank was born June 12, 1919 in Shelton, CT and lived
most of his life in Grafton. He was a sectional foreman with The New York, New Haven & Hartford Railroad for 27 years. He then was a railway and bus inspector with The Mass. Dept. of Public Utilities, retiring in 1978.
Mr. Ragaini was a US Army World War II veteran serving as a sergeant with the 714th Transportation Corps. He was also a lifelong parishioner of St. James Catholic Church, a member of Benedict Council Knights of Columbus, a member and past president of The Green
Acres Tenants Association, The Golden Age Club in Sutton, and a board member of The Grafton Council on Aging.
His family wishes to extend sincere thanks to the staffs of The Ichabod Wasburn Hospice Residence and Holy Trinity Hospice for their care to Frank and the family during his stay there.
All are invited to calling hours Tuesday, Nov. 27 at The Roney Funeral Home,152 Worcester St. North Grafton from 9 to 10:30 am before taking him to St. James Catholic Church, 89 Main St. in South Grafton to celebrate his Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. He will then be laid to rest with military honors at Fairview Cemetery in South Grafton.
