GRAFTON, Mass. - Frederic G. Erickson, 96, died peacefully September 13,
2012. His wife Dorothy (Gilbertson) diedin 2009.
He leaves his sister-in-law Elinor R. Bonin and many nieces and nephews. Frederic’s brothers Robert, Herbert, and David Erickson all predeceased him.
Frederic was born February 16, 1916 in Athol, MA, son of the late Gladys (Gay) and Herbert T. Erickson. He grew up on South Street in Grafton. Frederic graduated from Grafton High School and served in the U.S. Army Air Corps. in World War II in Italy and North Africa as an
airplane mechanic. He worked for many years at Whitin Machine Works.
Frederic had a great love of the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, reading, and raising his
Cocker Spaniels.
Frederic’s family will receive guests at a calling hour from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday, September 22, 2012 at Roney Funeral Home 152 Worcester St., N.Grafton followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. in the funeral home. He will then be laid to rest with his wife Dorothy at Riverside Cemetery in Grafton.
In lieu of flowers his family requests memorial donations to St. Andrews Church 53 North Main St. N.Grafton MA 01536.
