GRAFTON, Mass. - William A. "Butchie" Jones III, 68, died unexpectedly November 8, 2012 in Florida. He was predeceased by his wife Pearl (Cote) in 2009.
He leaves his daughter, Holly Jones Thompson and her husband Blair, one grandson, Will all of Pennington NJ; Two sisters, Rita Whiting of Grafton, Cathy Ross and her husband Wayne of Saratoga, NY and many nieces and nephews.
Born January 17, 1944 in Worcester the son of the late William A. and Rita I. (Ritcher) Jones he lived most o0f his life in Grafton moving to Florida in 1993.
Butchie was educated in Grafton, graduating from Grafton High School in 1961 He was a self employed contractor until moving to Florida where he was a maintenance manager in Lantana until his death. He also served in The US Army Reserves as a medic, was a former parishioner of St. Philip's Church and a member of Benedict Council 2379 Knights of Columbus. Butchie also enjoyed fishing and could always be found walking with his dogs.
All are invited to a Roman Catholic Service of Committal Saturday, Dec. 15 at 11 a.m. in St. Philip's Cemetery on Millbury St. in Grafton where his ashes will be laid to rest next to his parents.
The family suggests he be remembered with a memorial donations to The Grafton Food Bank, PO Box 324, Grafton MA 01519.
Funeral arrangements are in the care of the Roney Funeral Home in North Grafton.
