Grafton Lions Club member Dr. Tom O’Malley collected almost 500 coats for the annual One Warm Coat collection, a record for this project.
The LEOs hat and mitten drive collected more than 50 pairs of mittens and hats. Thanks to the generosity of the citizens of Grafton, many people will be warm this winter.
Several area organizations and the victims of Hurricane Sandy were the beneficiaries of this record collection. These included The Worcester Boys and Girls Club, Girls Inc., Abbey's House, The Friendly House, and The Saint Andrews Church Feed The Homeless Project at Worcester City Hall.
The Lions and LEOs clubs would like to thank our fellow Graftonites for their continued support of our club and the great town of Grafton.
The Grafton Lions Club is in its 58th year of serving the Town of Grafton and its residents. The club consists of 43 members and meets on the second and fourth Wednesday of every month at its clubhouse, located off 68 Brigham Hill Road in Grafton.
