GRAFTON, Mass. – Registered Democrats in Grafton will hold a caucus on Feb. 11 to elect delegates to the Massachusetts Democratic Party’s 2013 convention.

The caucus is open to Grafton voters who were registered Democrats as of Dec. 31. It will be at 7 p.m. in the second-floor Finance Committee Conference Room of the Grafton Municipal Center.

Eight delegates (four women and four men) and three alternate delegates will be elected to attend the 2013 Massachusetts Democratic Convention in Lowell on June 1.

“Delegates at our 2013 convention will hear from exciting future leaders of the Massachusetts Democratic Party and will debate and adopt our platform for the next four years,” said Massachusetts Democratic Party Chair John Walsh.

Those not elected as a delegate or alternate delegate, who meet the qualifications, may apply to become add-on delegates in three categories: youth, minority and disabled.

For caucus information, call Chet Jakubiak, chair of the Grafton Democratic Town Committee, at 508-839-5574.
