GRAFTON, Mass. - As Grafton High School enters its winter season, numerous clubs and organizations in the school stepping up to help those in need.
Here is a list of charity events that have been going on at Grafton High:
Penny Wars Charity Drive
Throughout Homecoming Week, the National Honor Society ran the very successful Penny Wars fundraiser. The following is a list of charities selected by NHS members, and the amount being donated from the Penny Wars Fundraiser.
Worcester Food Bank - $240

ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease) Association - $300

Christmas Caroling
The Grafton High Student Council will be Christmas Caroling in local neighborhoods on Dec. 15 asking for donations for the Desai family, whose house burnt down two weeks ago. Student Council also raised up to $500 for the Desai family at the Thanksgiving Day Football game.
Sandy Claus
Members of the SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions) group at Grafton High School are sponsoring a fundraiser for those who have been affected by Hurricane Sandy called Sandy Claus. Clothing and other items used on a daily basis are being collected until December 14th in the Grafton High School Commons area. Students will be on hand to collect items in the morning, or you may leave items in the main office. Arrangements can be made as well for a SADD member to pick up items. All donations will be given to the American Red Cross
Coat Drive
The Grafton High School Peer Leaders are sponsoring their annual coat drive. Coats can be any size, and donations are going to the Friendly House. If you would like to donate a coat, donation bins are located in the Grafton High School Commons Area.
