GRAFTON, Mass. -- Grafton High School Athletic Director Karrah Ellis was named athletic director of the year in Central Massachusetts for District E.
"Grafton is extremely competitive in all sports," said James Cummings, Superintendent of Grafton Public Schools in a press release. "We are well represented in the district and state tournaments, thanks in large part to the work of Karrah and our outstanding coaches."
Ellis is in her fifth year as the high school's athletic director. Since her appointment, she has added girls' swimming and ice hockey teams. In June, the high school girls' softball team won their first state title while the boys' varsity football team is on the verge of entering the playoffs.
Cummings said that Ellis will be competing for the state title, which he said will be announced next spring.

What a joke, I'm surprised there are not more comments about this one. To Gtown mom, it would have been great if the if the schedules that were then posted after the games were moved were correct.
What are the criteria for earning this award? Number of winning teams? Number of teams? Percent of students participating in sports activities? Inquiring minds want to know!
Congrats to Mrs. Ellis! It's not easy to reschedule all night games because of EEE threat but she did it-- just one of the many things she does.
