GRAFTON, Mass. — The Museum of Science, Boston, recently brought fun experiments as it visited the fourth-grade classes of Grafton's Millbury Street Elementary School.
The children observed as solids, liquids and gases changed phases when subjected to extreme temperatures, and they learned how to define the states of matter. A demonstration of intensely cold liquid nitrogen was done.
Students saw balloons shrink, a teakettle whistle without a stove and lids pop off snack cans.
