GRAFTON, Mass. — Until this fall, the story of the new Grafton High School was told from the adults' perspective. Now it's the students' turn.
Grafton High School students Tyler Reilly and Jacqui Manning will be talking about student life at Grafton High on Mondays in a new column, "GHS Journal." From adjusting to homework on iPads to adapting old Grafton High traditions into the new quarters to exploring the school's offerings, Reilly and Manning will be giving an inside glimpse into Grafton High's first year.
The pair will be alternating on the column throughout the school year.
Reilly, a senior, plays soccer and lacrosse for the Grafton Indians and last year was one of two Grafton players named an All-American. He has been leading tours of the new school all summer as a senior leader.
"I want to go to school for journalism next year, but I'm hoping to play lacrosse wherever I go," Reilly said.
Manning, a junior, is vice president of the Student Council and last year won the position of public relations officer for the Central District Massachusetts Association of Student Council Regional Student Executive Board.
"I definitely want to go into media and broadcasting," Manning said. "I'm not really sure where I want to go, but I want to be a reporter."
