I still ask can Westboro Rd. with the two culvert, which is not part of the State highway, handle the load of the tanks and trucks? I know I have seen weight restrictions in some areas of town and on some bridges. Has the highway department ever concidered a weight restriction on that section of Westboro Rd at least to protect the culverts. View Comment
I'm still confused, are the two bridges the ones on N. Main St and Ws the culverts aterville St. or the two culverts on Westboro Rd. which is a town road not a state highway. I seem the culverts couldn't handle the weght. View Comment
Just wondering has there ever been a weight limit either on that section of Westboro Rd.or the two culverts? Since this section is not a state highway and is not in the best of shape. View Comment
In the poll the The Daily Grafton was taken I vote no for a smaller expansion. The reason I did Is I belive that information is not being put forward to the people of Grafton in a timely manner. Get information 10 minutes before a public meeting to discuse the library issue seems highly unlikely. When exactly was the information received and how. It seems that a lot of issues concerning the town are now being discussed in workshops or regular committe and board meeting aired on cable so if your unavailable to attend you miss out on the information and the documents are not made available on the towns web site. Sorry about that james_o. Let me say it again.
Enough already, all we're getting iahash & rehash. Just get out and vote, "those" that don't want to pay the tax increase, "those" that want to pay. Don't complain after December 13 if your name in not checkef off on the voter list.

It's nice to read the comments of thoughs for the library complain about thoughs that are against it and thoughs that are against it complain about thoughs that are for it. Where ever you stand you can, it's all hot air unless you vote on December 13 one way or the other. Don't complain if you don't get off your duffs and vote the polls are open all day. What did we have a little over 700 that showed up at the special town meeting no excuse. So get out and vote!!!!! View Comment
A penny here a nickle there, a dollar here a dollar there, money here money there money every where. It would cost you millions if we did not have this new expanded libary. How about a user fee we have one for pay as you throw, a brush dump fee, a beach fee a fee here a fee there.
You want it you don't want it just get off you duffs and vote December 13. Don't expect your neighbor to do it for you. View Comment

I sorry for those that did not have a halloween but I also don't think it's a smart idea to turn the lights out on the front steps for friends of neighbor who may visit. View Comment
Maybe someone could ask the Town Administrator the following question:
If the Project cost $7 million and the garenteed payment is $250,000, that's $5 million return over 20 years. Who pays the additional $2 million plus interest plus operating expenses for the new heating sysems with out asking the town voters at a special election to fund the differences? View Comment
Before you consider a vote for/or against the library expansion program please think about what else town officials have under considerations. These officials just discussed a possible $7 million energy program for town buildings for a special town meeting in December. Also under consideration is bonding for $10/$11 million to do all the roads in town, a new highway department building, and a new superpark. To cover all these projects the town officials are looking into bundling all of these into one big bonding issue including the current bonding of the new high school and streaching it out to 20/25 years to reduce the impact on the tax rate. They hope to not have to build anything else or not have an emergency in the next 20/25 years.
