For generations of hockey fans, the unmistakable voice, slicked-back hair, colorful suits, and larger-than-life personality were almost as familiar as the game itself.
Barry Melrose, the former NHL player and coach who became one of ESPN’s signature hockey analysts, died Wednesday, Sept. 9, at age 70 following a battle with Parkinson’s disease, ESPN announced.
