Officers responded to the 300 block of Washington Avenue near Sprague Place around 1:25 p.m. for reports of a shooting, according to the Albany Police Department. When officers arrived, they found Iris Vazquez, of Schenectady, suffering from at least one gunshot wound to the chest.
