Tornado Confirmed In PA, Rips Roof Off High School; NWS Investigates Additional Damage
A tornado ripped through central Pennsylvania, tearing part of the roof from Eastern York High School, damaging homes, and displacing at least 13 people, the National Weather Service confirmed on Friday, Aug. 21.
A survey team of NWS State College meteorologists and York County Office of Emergency Management officials determined that the damage at and near Eastern York High School, located at 720 Cool Creek Road in Wrightsville, was caused by a tornado.

An unsettled stretch threatens to bring more rain in much of the Northeast.
New rounds of showers and thunderstorms are expected Saturday, Aug. 22, and Sunday, Aug. 23, with the potential for torrential downpours and localized flash flooding, according to the National Weather Service.

Two school bus drivers are accused of sneaking into a secure Pennsylvania school garage after hours and repeatedly accessing protected district records, the Lehigh County District Attorney's Office announced on Wednesday, Aug. 19.
Shawn Levy, of Breinigsville, and Tyler Young, of Allentown, worked as Parkland School District bus drivers when the alleged crimes occurred, according to the release.
