Bay Shore Man Accused Of Recklessly Driving Mustang In Front Of Spectators In North Lindenhurst A 27-year-old man is facing charges after police said drove a Ford Mustang recklessly in front of spectators in a Long Island parking lot. Officers received a report of cars and spectators gathered in a North Lindenhurst parking lot located at 600 North Wellwood Ave. at about 1:40 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 13, the Suffolk County Police Department said. Man Accused Of Stealing $460 In Clothing From Lake Grove Store Authorities asked the public for help locating a man who is accused of stealing clothing valued at about $460 from Macy's on Long Island. The incident happened at the Macy's located at the Smith Haven Mall in Lake Grove at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 11, Suffolk County Crime Stoppers reported on Wednesday, Nov. 9. Road Closure Scheduled For Stretch Of Westchester Roadway State officials announced a planned closure for a stretch of State Route 118 in Northern Westchester. Route 118 is scheduled to close between Birdsall Drive and Hanover Street in Yorktown, beginning Monday, Nov. 14 through Friday, Dec. 2, the New York State Department of Transportation announced. Officials said the road closure is being implemented to facilitate a culvert replacement. Motorists should follow the posted detour, using US Route 202, Saw Mill River Road and State Route 35, and State Route 200 as an alternate, officials said.

Riverhead Man Sentenced For His Role In 2015 Gang-Related Murder A 40-year-old man has been sentenced to decades in prison for his role in the fatal shooting of a victim on Long Island in 2015. Jason Langhorn, of Riverhead, was sentenced on Monday, Nov. 14, to 27 years in prison and three years of supervised release for his participation in the murder of Thomas Lacolla on Nov. 17, 2015, announced Breon Peace, United States attorney for the Eastern District of New York. Former Aide Accused Of Fraudulently Using Client's EBT Card 17 Times At Smithtown Supermarket A former aide was charged after investigators reported that she fraudulently used an elderly client's EBT card at a Long Island store more than a dozen times. Shatia Parker, age 30, of Riverland, was arrested and charged with 17 counts of petit larceny at 1:10 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 12, the Suffolk County Police Department said. New York State Collects $542M In Mobile Sports Betting Tax Revenue In Less Than 10 Months New York State has collected more than half a billion dollars in mobile sports betting tax revenue since it became available in the state in January.
