Motorcyclist Seriously Injured After Striking Deer In Port Jefferson A 77-year-old man was hospitalized with serious injuries after crashing a motorcycle into a deer on Long Island. The crash happened in Port Jefferson at about 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 2, the Suffolk County Police Department said. SCPD said the Smithtown man was riding a 2019 Harley Davidson Trike on East Broadway near Bridle Path Lane when he struck a deer that was crossing the roadway. Pair Of $1,000,000 Mega Millions Lottery Tickets Sold At Same NY Store Two winning lottery tickets valued at $1 million each were sold at the same New York store. New York Lottery announced that two second-prize winning Mega Million tickets from the drawing on Tuesday, Nov. 1, were purchased on Long Island at Bolla Market in West Hempstead. 22-Year-Old CT Woman Dies In Rollover Crash A 22-year-old Connecticut woman died in a single-vehicle crash on Route 8. The crash happened in Torrington, located in Litchfield County, at about 6:20 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 2, Connecticut State Police reported. A 1999 New Volkswagen Beetle GLS was northbound on Route 8 near Exit 46 and was negotiating the curve in the road, police said. Hudson Valley Man Faces DWI Charge After Crossing Double-Yellow Line, Authorities Say A 37-year-old man was charged with driving while intoxicated following a traffic stop in the Hudson Valley. A deputy saw a vehicle that crossed over the yellow lines and was not maintaining its lane of traffic in Southeast at about 12:50 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 24, the Putnam County Sheriff's Department reported. Duo Nabbed For Impaired Driving In Separate Southampton Stops Two men are facing charges after police said they each drove while under the influence in separate incidents on Long Island over the weekend. Baby On Board: CT Woman Gives Birth To Son On Flight To Dominican Republic A Connecticut woman welcomed her baby into the world in an unexpected location. Hartford resident Kendria Rhoden, age 21, was on a flight from New York City to the Dominican Republic in September after she was cleared to fly by her doctor at 32 weeks pregnant, the New York Post reported.
