After more than 40 years in the same chair on the same street, Carlstadt barber Vito Quattrocchi says it’s time to close his shop’s doors.
“It’s not an easy thing to say,” Quattrocchi wrote in a Facebook post on Tuesday, Aug. 12. “Because that shop wasn’t just a place of business — it was a part of my life, and yours.”

Bergen County mom Kelly McGrath Baratta died Friday, Aug. 8, after a two-and-a-half-year battle with cancer. She was 40 years old.
A devoted wife and mother, McGrath-Baratta found her greatest joy in her husband Gerard and their two sons, Leo, 7, and Luca, 2 ½, according to her obituary on the Becker Funeral Home website. A kid at heart, she loved summers in LBI, planning family activities, and recently made a dream trip to Disney World happen before her passing, her obituary reads. $1M Powerball Ticket Sold In Hasbrouck Heights
The New Jersey Lottery has made yet another millionaire.
A $1 million Powerball ticket from the Monday, Aug. 11 Powerball drawing was sold in the Garden State.
The ticket was sold at Minit Mart on the 300 block of Boulevard in Hasbrouck Heights, lottery officials confirmed. A $50,000 ticket was sold at BK One Stop Shop, a convenience store on East 9th Avenue in Roselle.
The winning numbers were 6, 16, 33, 40, 62 and the red Powerball 2. The Power Play multiplier was 2x, according to the New Jersey Lottery.
