$50,000 Powerball Ticket Sold In Freehold It was a sensational Saturday for a Powerball player in Monmouth County. A ticket sold in Freehold matched four numbers and the red Powerball in the drawing held on Saturday, April 5, winning $50,000. The ticket was sold at Max’s Beer, Wine and Liquors on Park Avenue. The winning numbers were 4, 23, 30, 46, 62 and the red Powerball was 2.

15-Year-Old Girl Stabbed Teen: Bridgeton PD A 15-year-old girl was arrested and charged with stabbing a 16-year-old boy on Sunday, April 6 in Bridgeton, authorities said. Around noon, officers were called to a residence on the 100 block of Church Street and found the boy, a Bridgeton resident, bleeding, Bridgeton police said. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was treated and released, police said. The girl was charged under a juvenile complaint with aggravated assault with a weapon, police said. Toms River Cocaine Dealer Learns Fate: Prosecutor A 50-year-old Toms River drug dealer was sentenced to 11 years in prison on Friday, April 4, authorities said. Octavaeous Jenkins had previously pleaded guilty in February to possessing and distributing more than five ounces of cocaine, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer said. Investigators determined Jenkins was using residences in South Toms River and Brick Township to store and distribute cocaine, authorities said. Live-In Nanny Shook, Tossed Two Infants: Jackson PD A 58-year-old live-in nanny was arrested and charged last month for abusing two 7-week-old twin infants in Jackson, authorities said. A father reported his wife observed their nanny, who was not identified by police, shaking, tossing and improperly handling their newborn babies, Jackson police said. The babies were taken to a pediatrician for treatment and then moved to a nearby hospital for evaluation, police said. The parents were able to provide video evidence of the nanny’s abuse and she was arrested at the family ‘s residence, police said.

License Plate Reader Helps Nab Stabbing Suspect In Atlantic City: Police A 35-year-old Atlantic City man was arrested and charged with stabbing a man after a fight on Saturday, April 5, authorities said. At 8:48 a.m., officers responded to the 3200 block of Fairmount Avenue and found the stabbing victim, transporting him to a nearby hospital, for non-life-threatening injuries, Atlantic City police said. Pedestrian Hospitalized After Hit, Run Crash In Jersey City: Prosecutor A 37-year-old Jersey City man is in stable condition after he was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene on the early morning of Monday, April 7, authorities said. Man Found Dead In Woods: Bridgeton PD A man was found dead in a wooded area of Bridgeton on Saturday, April 5, authorities said. At 8:50 a.m., a passerby reported seeing a man partially submerged in a retaining well at East Commerce Street east of East Lake, Bridgeton police said. The area is frequented by homeless people, police said. The man, a Latino possibly in his 30s, has not been identified, police said. An investigation determined the victim frequented homeless areas of the city, police said.
