Pedestrian Fatally Struck By Vehicle In East Orange: Prosecutor A pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle in East Orange on the early morning of Saturday, Nov. 16, authorities said. At 5:30 a.m., the pedestrian was hit by a 2024 Honda Accord at 33 Ampere Pl., the Essex County Prosecutor's Office said, though they did not say when or where they died. The identity of the pedestrian has not been revealed. The investigation is ongoing.

Juvenile Shot In East Orange: Authorities A juvenile was found shot in East Orange on the evening of Saturday, Nov. 14, authorities said. At 6:34 p.m., police responded to 165 North 17th St. and found the juvenile lying near a staircase in the first floor hallway suffering from a gunshot wound, a spokesperson for the city said. The juvenile was transported to University Hospital in Newark for evaluation and treatment of gunshot wounds to his chest, authorities said. He is in stable condition, authorities said.

Driver Hospitalized After Striking Trees On Route 287: Njsp A driver was hospitalized after they struck several trees on Route 287 in Morris County on the morning of Sunday, Nov. 17, authorities said. At 4:52 a.m., a Honda Odyessy was traveling northbound on Route 287 in Montville Township when it lost directional control, veered off the right side of the roadway and struck trees, Jeffrey Lebron, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said.
