Toms River Drug Raid Nets Four Arrests In Crack Cocaine Ring: Prosecutor Four people were recently arrested after multiple searches unraveled a crack cocaine ring in Toms River, authorities said. Keith Morse, a 20-year-old Toms River resident, was using a residence on Walnut Street to store and distribute crack cocaine, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer said. Detectives observed Morse meeting with Phillip Tarver, a 41-year-old Toms River resident on Tuesday, Jan. 21, Billhimer said. Belvidere Teacher Aide Assaulted 5-Year-Old: Prosecutor A 60-year-old teacher aide at a school in Belvidere was arrested and charged on Friday, Feb 7 with assaulting a 5-year-old, authorities said. Philip Carlton was arrested following an investigation by the Belvidere Police Department, the Warren County Prosecutor's Office said. He was charged with endangering the welfare of a child, prosecutors said. According to the district website, Carlton is an aide at Belvidere Elementary School.

Parents Fight Back After DUI Stafford Superintendent Returns To Work A New Jersey superintendent who was arrested for drunk driving last fall has returned to work and some parents are none too happy about it. George Chidiac, the superintendent for the Stafford Township School District, was placed on leave last year after he was arrested for driving under intoxication last October, after crashing into a utility pole in Berkeley Township, causing a power outage, Berkeley Township police said. Newark Carjacker Crosses County Lines In Police Pursuit: Authorities A carjacker is at large after he was able to elude police during a pursuit that began in Newark on the early morning of Tuesday, Feb. 11, authorities said. At 2:57 a.m., officers responded to the 400 block of Irvine Turner Boulevard after a Chevy Malibu had been carjacked and the driver was assaulted, Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda said.
