Guilty! Plainfield Man Convicted Of Murdering Pregnant Ex-GF: Middlesex County Prosecutor A 45-year-old Plainfield man was convicted on Thursday, Feb. 6 of murdering his pregnant ex-girlfriend in 2021, authorities said. On Saturday, Sept. 4, 2021, Shakir Tyler fatally shot Tayeesa Webb, a 35-year-old Edison resident, Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone said. Tyler shot her after confronting her outside her residence, Ciccone said. Tyler was also convicted of unlawful possession of a handgun, Ciccone said. He faces up to life in prison when he is sentenced in May, Ciccone said.

Lodi Tattoo Artist Tosses Shooting Victim's Body In Hudson River: Prosecutor A 26-year-old Lodi resident was arrested and charged on Thursday, Feb. 6, after he fatally shot a man and tossed his body in the Hudson River in Hoboken, authorities said. Corrections Officer, Oak Ridge Dad Yuda Sunarno Dies, 43 Yuda Sunarno, a 43-year-old Oak Ridge resident and Passaic County corrections officer died on Sunday, Feb. 2, according to his obituary from the Vander May Funeral Home. A football player at Bloomfield High School, Sunaro later graduated from Montclair State University, his obituary reads. Small Dog Rescued After Falling Through Ice In Raritan: Authorities (Photos) A small dog is on the mend after she fell through the ice at a pond in Raritan Township on Thursday, Feb. 6, authorities said. At 3:08 p.m. a rescue squad was dispatched to Sun Ridge Pond at Sun Ridge Drive and Hart Boulevard after a dog was in the water after falling through thin ice on the pond, Flemington-Raritan First Aid and Rescue Squad said. Two rescuers with appropriate protective equipment went out on the ice and quickly rescued the small dog, authorities said. The dog was reunited with their owner and was reported to be warming up and recovering quickly, authorities said.

Child Struck By Car In Pemberton: Police A child was hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle in Pemberton on the morning of Friday, Feb. 7, authorities said. At 7:28 a.m., officers responded to Rancocas Lane and Weymouth Road for a crash involving a pedestrian, Pemberton police said. The juvenile was struck when the vehicle was attempting to make a left turn on Rancocas Lane, police said. The juvenile sustained an injury to her leg and was transported to Cooper University Medical Center for further treatment, police said. The incident remains under investigation, police said.
