John Theodore Grandefeld, of Eastchester, died unexpectedly on Saturday, Sept. 24, according to his obituary. Dead Deer Reported In CT Towns, 3 Test Positive For Hemorrhagic Disease, Officials Say State officials announced that three white-tailed deer tested positive for hemorrhagic disease, as dead deer have been found across multiple towns in Connecticut. The Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) announced on Wednesday, Sept. 28, that the first positive case this year came from a deer found in the Litchfield County town of Goshen. Police Seek Public's Help Locating Missing 14-Year-Old From NY Police asked the public for help locating a missing 14-year-old boy from Long Island. Aiden Rodriguez was last seen at his home on Francine Drive North in Massapequa at about 1:10 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 28, the Nassau County Police Department reported. Moose On Loose In Region A large moose seems to have made quite a journey over the past few days, with multiple sightings in parts of Fairfield County. Meteorologist Jack Drake shared photos and videos on his Facebook page of a large moose that was spotted at the AMC movie theater in Danbury on Monday, Sept. 26. Dutchess County resident Austine Helen Papo Dysard, of Fishkill, died at home on Saturday, Sept. 24, her obituary said. She was born in Beacon. Driver Dies After Crashing Into Utility Pole In Uniondale A man died from his injuries after crashing into a van into a utility pole on Long Island. The crash happened in Uniondale at about 1 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 27, the Nassau County Police Department said. A 2015 Chrysler van struck a utility pole near the intersection of Maple Avenue and Jerusalem Avenue, NCPD said. Police said the driver was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
