40-Year-Old Seriously Injured In 2-Vehicle I-84 Crash A 40-year-old Connecticut man was seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash on I-84. The crash happened in Hartford County in the eastbound lanes near Exit 34 in Plainville at about 9:50 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 25, Connecticut State Police said. New York Man Wins '$5,000 A Week For Life' Lottery Prize A Capital District man won a "$5,000 A Week For Life" scratch-off prize. Saratoga County resident Andrew McClure, of Halfmoon, claimed his top prize from the "Set For Life" lottery game, New York Lottery announced on Monday, Sept. 26. NY Lottery said the $10 ticket guarantees a minimum payout of $5 million. McClure chose to receive his prize as a single, lump-sum payment of $2,474,460 after required withholdings, the lottery reported. The winning ticket was purchased at Savemore Beverage, which is located at 1512 Route 9 in Clifton Park.

Garden City Park Man Charged In Nassau County Overdose Investigation, Police Say A 41-year-old man was charged following an investigation into fatal and non-fatal overdoses on Long Island, police said. Calvin Beider, of Garden City Park, was arrested in Hicksville at 7:10 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 25, the Nassau County Police Department said. Detectives were investigating the overdoses of Nassau County residents, which led to Beider's arrest, police said. Bridgeport Man Admits To Attempting To Transfer Obscene Materials To Minor A 63-year-old Fairfield County man admitted to sending sexual messages, pictures, and videos to an FBI agent posing as a 14-year-old girl. Occupants Escape From Burning Laurel Hollow Home, Police Say The three occupants of a Long Island home were able to escape without injuries when a fire broke out. Emergency responders raced to the scene in Laurel Hollow on The Laneat about 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 25, the Nassau County Police Department said. Driver Extricated After Car Destroyed In Franklin Square Crash Authorities extricated a driver from a car following a crash at a Long Island intersection.
