Winning $825K Lottery Ticket Sold At Mobil Station In Fairfield County Two Connecticut residents won separate $825,000 lottery prizes this week. An unnamed person from Waterbury claimed a "200X 2nd Edition" prize from a ticket purchased in Fairfield County at a Mobil gas station in New Fairfield, CT Lottery announced on Tuesday, Sept. 20. The lottery said the gas station is located at 94 State Route 37. A second winner, who is a resident of Naugatuck, claimed their "$1,000,000 Golden Riches" prize from a ticket purchased at Big Y World Class Market, located at 85 Bridge St. in Naugatuck, CT Lottery reported on Wednesday, Sept. 21.

Shawn Grey, of Mount Vernon, won his CASH4LIFE second prize from the drawing held on Saturday, June 25, New York Lottery announced on Thursday, Sept. 22. Duo Charged For Crack Cocaine Transaction In CT, Police Say A man and a woman were charged after police said the man was seen selling "eight balls" of crack cocaine to the woman in Connecticut. Bashaun Faison, age 31, and 52-year-old Michele Annette Abbott, both of Torrington, were arrested on Wednesday, Sept 21, in Litchfield County, Connecticut State Police said. Closures On Stretch Of Southern State Parkway In Hempstead Expected To Last 1 Month State officials announced that a stretch of the Southern State Parkway is set to close on weeknights for about a month. Man Sentenced For Attempting To Rape Woman Who Was Walking With Grandchild In Westchester A 29-year-old man was sentenced to years in prison after he admitted he attempted to rape a woman who was pushing her grandchild in a stroller in Westchester County.
