Middletown Police Investigate Fatal Shooting On Wallkill Ave. MIDDLETOWN, N.Y. – Middletown police are investigating a fatal shooting that took place on Wallkill Avenue on Thursday night.  Officers responded to the call of shots fired at about 11 p.m. and were told a 19-year-old male had been transported to the hospital in a private car due to a gunshot wound. Severe Thunderstorm Watch Issued For Orange County ORANGE COUNTY, N.Y. – A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued in Orange County until 9 p.m. on Friday, according to the National Weather Service.  Rain is expected to move into the area as the afternoon progresses bringing potentially powerful thunderstorms that could dump up to half an inch of rain. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent.  The wet weather will move out of the area overnight and sunny skies and temperatures in the 80s are expected for the weekend.

Maybrook Man Pleads Guilty To Sexually Assaulting 5-Year-Old Girl MAYBROOK, N.Y. – A Maybrook man pleaded guilty on Tuesday to sexually assaulting a 5-year-old girl, according to the Times Herald Record.  Gilberto Loza, 27, admitted to performing an oral sexual act on the girl between 2016 and early 2017.
