Orange County Sheriffs Welcome New K-9 Officer ORANGE COUNTY, N.Y. – A new member of the Orange County Sheriff's Office was welcomed to the force and will be helping to keep streets safer.  Skip is a 15-month-old Malinois/Shepherd mix who was born in Hungary. Former Nypd Lieutenant Charged With Raping A Minor In Greenwood Lake GREENWOOD LAKE, N.Y. – A retired NYPD lieutenant and Greenwood Lake resident is facing charges of raping a minor, according to News 12 Hudson Valley.  Nicholas Mcateer, 45, allegedly raped the victim between 2008 and 2011. FBI Investigates Middletown Medical Group MIDDLETOWN, N.Y. – The FBI and Orange County Sheriffs investigated three different Dolson Avenue Medical locations on Wednesday, according to News 12 Westchester.  Federal and local officials spent hours at the locations and were seen carrying boxes into 54 Dolson Ave. The investigation triggered the evacuation of employees and patients, News 12 Westchester said.  The cause of the investigation is unclear, but officials confirmed members of the FBI were with the White Collar Crime Task Force, News 12 Westchester reported.  Click here to view the News 12 Westchester story.

Four Alarm Fire Rips Through Barn At Goshen Historic Track GOSHEN, N.Y. – It took firefighters nearly two hours to extinguish a four-alarm fire in a barn at the Goshen Historic Track on Wednesday night. The fire was first reported just before 6:30 p.m., drawing 75 firefighters from 16 different companies. Responders were able to save all of the horses in the barn and no human injuries were reported, the Times Herald-Record reported.  Fire officials said nearly half of the 180-year-old structure had to be demolished because of fire damage. Montgomery Cop Acted In Self Defense During May Gun Fight, Grand Jury Says MAYBROOK, N.Y. – A Montgomery Police Officer who fired his gun in the direction of a suspect who shot Chief Arnold "Butch" Amthor was acting defense of himself and fellow officers, according to a Grand Jury who declined to file charges on Monday.  The suspect, Anthony Bostick, 28, opened fire on officers on Abbey Avenue on May 16, hitting Amthor in the shoulder.
