Goshen Farm Owner Faces Animal Cruelty Charges After 11 Horses Found Dead GOSHEN, N.Y. – The owner of Argus Farm is facing animal cruelty charges after an SPCA raid discovered 11 dead horses and one 10-year-old  horse on the brink of starvation, according to the Times Herald-Record.  The raid, conducted in July, revealed a grisly scene, including a 2-month-old foal, found lying dead in the nursing position next to the body of its mother.  The nearly-starved stallion was found chewing on the wood in his stall with the skeleton of another dead horse, but is expected to recover. Goshen Water Main Break Repaired; Boil Water Advisory Remains GOSHEN, N.Y.  – Crews located and repaired a water main break in Goshen around 9 p.m. on Friday night, but an advisory to boil water will remain until Monday.The break was in a 16-inch pipe located on the Mile Track property across from Quick Check. Officials can't lift the boil water advisory until the Department of Health approves the work.

State Of Emergency Issued In Goshen; Residents Advised To Boil Water GOSHEN, N.Y. – Officials have issued a state of emergency in Goshen following a water main break on Thursday night. The state of emergency advises residents to boil water for at least two minutes before using it for drinking or food preparation. The boil water advisory will remain in effect until further notice. Water Main Break Causes Service Interruptions, Pressure Issues In Goshen GOSHEN, N.Y.  – A water main break on Thursday night has caused service interruptions throughout the village of Goshen.  Crews have established bypasses in some areas to restore some service but reduced water pressure remains an issue in the areas of Fletcher, Green, Wickham Montgomery and Prospect Streets.  The leak has been isolated but fully located. Street Shooting Case NEWBURGH, N.Y. – A Newburgh man pleaded guilty on Friday to homicide and weapons charges in connection with a fatal shooting that took place on Hasbrouck Street in March, according to Orange County District Attorney David Hoovler. Fabian Corley, 25, admitted to shooting the male victim in the back with an illegal hand gun outside of his home on March 7. New York's First Female Wing Commander Takes Over At Stewart NEW WINDSOR, N.Y. – The first woman to lead an air wing in the New York Air National Guard assumed her command  during a ceremony on Sunday, according to the Daily Freeman.  Col. Denise Donnell took over the 105th Airlift Wing that operates out of Stewart Air National Guard Base. Donnell is a Clifton Park native with more than 3,800 hours of flight time logged in several different aircraft, the Daily Freeman reported.  In her new role, Donell will oversee a wing of over 1330 personnel with an annual payroll of $78 million. Narcotics Arrests, Fraud Top Fair Lawn Police Blotter FAIR LAWN, N.J. – Here is this week's police blotter from the Fair Lawn Police Department. Fair Lawn Officer Tiller Uriarte stopped Erik Anderson, 38, of Ridgewood while riding his bike on Thursday, July 20. Authorities found him in possession of prescription drugs that did not belong to him as well as a backpack containing burglary tools, officials said.  Anderson had outstanding warrants from Bergen County and Hasbrouck Heights.
